Nvidia accelerated its European tech investments in 2025, participating in 14 funding rounds—double its 2024 activity. The chipmaker backed French AI lab Mistral’s €1.7B Series C, UK data center firm Nscale, and German automation specialist N8n among others. These deals represented 16% of Nvidia’s global startup investments last year.

The company’s 2026 pipeline opened with a $200M Series E in British AI startup Synthesia. This follows zero European investments in 2020-2021, signaling strategic prioritization of Europe’s AI ecosystem. Mistral’s €11.7B valuation post-Series C underscores the region’s growing prominence in generative AI development.
